Radisson Blu Polar Hotel, Svalbard (NO)

Radisson Blu Polar Hotel Svalbard is the northernmost hotel in the world, located only 1000 km from the North Pole. Considering the specific climate and relief of Svalbard island, the design of the hotel emphasizes the dark and bright sides of Svalbard — its polar nights and polar sunshine. The part of the hotel’s building has been transported from the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway.

Hallo! office building, Riga (LV)

Built in 1928 for the state telegraph services, the Art Deco style house has been transformed into a modern office building in Riga City center, where parking lots in the courtyard are replacing with a multifunctional, publicly accessible yard for every visitor to Riga. The yard simultaneously functions as a meeting spot, leisure place, and HALLO office space extension.

Michaels, Oslo (NO)

Michaels restaurant and nightclub, located in a former Fire Station in Briskeby, a stunning gathering place in Oslo where stories, flavors, people and entertainment all come together in a three-floor concept that includes 'dine and wine' restaurant, ‘brasserie’ and a nightclub.

Aker Brygge, Oslo (NO), SPACEGROUP

Bult in the late 1800’s as one of the mail production facilities for maritime diesel engines, the buildings went through several extensions becoming a chaotic space for shopping mall and office building in 2000s. The new project reorganized the program, pushing the shopping to the ground level and exteriorizing the shops and corporate lobbies in order to activate the streets.

By aligning the buildings along two axis’ — the city’s entryway, and the harbor promenade plus shifting them to misalign for shared views, an unexpected intermediate zone for recreation is created. Additionally — continuing the strategy from Ruten, the planned car traffic was diverted around the property, replaced by a continuous landscape of activities.

The interior has been designed as a postcard that gives a clear vision – it must be taken in France. The content of the postcard – a carefree breeze of the holidays with a strong tradition for design.

Tromso Terminal, Tromso (NO), SPACEGROUP

Resisting the hermetic tendency of terminal as infrastructural machines the determinacy of inside and out, private and public, controlled and free is liberated. To charge the project with spaces and programs for the non-peaks - to bring the city to the terminal and the ‘guests’ to the city - an atomized terminal.
